Is Botify right for you?
Botify is an enterprise platform that joins crawl data, server logs, Google Search Console and AI-visibility tracking for very large sites, and it sells only through a demo.
The pricing URL redirects to a demo form that asks whether you are an agency or consultant and whether your site has fewer or more than 5,000 pages, and no plan names or amounts are published. The newest reason to shortlist it is the MCP server, announced as generally available on 16 September 2026, which puts Botify's crawl, log and Search Console data inside ChatGPT or Claude.
It fits a team with a large site and people who can act on findings. It fits poorly when a small site needs a self-serve crawler, because a tool you can start without a sales call will teach you more for less.

Crawl the full site, join the crawl to server logs, and list pages that bots never request or that waste crawl time. Rank the fixes by the revenue attached to those pages before briefing engineering.
Migration mapping through the MCP server
Botify describes a marketplace using the MCP server to map about 7,000 URLs across country domains during a migration, with a traffic threshold to filter noise and a person reviewing everything before it went live.
AI crawler and bot review
Use AI agent and bot analytics to see which AI crawlers request the site and which pages they reach, then decide which bots to allow or serve faster versions to.
Content briefs from search and AI data
Ask Botify Assist or the MCP server to group the searches customers use, check AI-answer coverage and draft a content brief that the team reviews before publishing.

Botify's official API exposes crawl, ranking, and log-file data through its own query language, but only after an account manager turns API access on. There's no official MCP server yet.

Once API access is enabled on an account, an agent authenticates with the account's token, submits a query in Botify's own query language for crawl and ranking data on a project, and pulls back structured data to summarize indexability issues or log-file patterns for a report.
Approval boundary: Botify's API is read-only for analysis, so there's no publish action to gate. The real checkpoint sits upstream: a human account owner or manager must explicitly enable API access before any agent can query it at all.

The only MCP server for Botify is an auto-generated GitHub project built from Botify's public OpenAPI spec, with minimal commit history and little adoption. It isn't hand-maintained, its tool coverage is unenumerated, and it passes auth straight through to Botify's own API token system. It's better treated as unsuitable for production use until an official server exists.

Botify's API uses its own query language, BQL, rather than fixed REST endpoints, covering crawl data, site structure, keyword and ranking data, and log-file analysis. It authenticates with an API token, but the token only appears in account settings once API access has been explicitly enabled by an account manager or through a trial. Published numeric rate limits weren't found.

Third-party estimates of enterprise contracts run into six figures a year but vary widely, so treat a written quote as the only reliable figure and ask exactly what the contract includes for MCP, API, projects and log storage.
Expect a demo, not a checkout
Every route from the pricing URL ends at the demo form. Plan for a sales cycle and an evaluation on your own data rather than a trial account.
Ask what the MCP costs
Botify says the MCP server is available to all customers and includes usage controls. Ask whether usage is metered and whether the agent skills carry their own limits.

Limitations to consider before subscribing

You cannot test fit or price without a sales conversation, which slows an evaluation and hides what small differences in scope cost.

It became generally available on 16 September 2026, so there is little independent evidence of how it behaves at scale or what it costs.
Vendor claims dominate the evidence
Results such as 10 percent traffic growth and a 5x ROI in three years are Botify's own figures, so ask for references in your industry.
It assumes engineering capacity
Crawl and log findings still need developers or a deployment layer such as PageWorkers to become fixes, which small teams may lack.
My Recommendation
Shortlist it only at enterprise scale, then test on your own data
Shortlist Botify when the site has millions of pages, crawl and log analysis are the core need, and the organization can run a demo-led evaluation and a sizeable annual contract.
Choose Screaming Frog or JetOctopus to try the work before buying a platform, or SE Ranking when AI visibility and rank tracking matter more than crawl scale.
