Credit-based ($9 per 1,000 HubSpot Credits)AI agents (Customer, Prospecting, Data) + AI features
Breeze is the umbrella for HubSpot AI: Customer Agent (50 credits/conversation), Prospecting Agent, Data Agent, plus AI content tools and Breeze Intelligence. Each Hub Professional and Enterprise plan includes a credit allowance; overages bill at $9 per 1,000.
View product →What an agency stack actually costs
Here is what HubSpot Marketing Hub actually costs a 3-person marketing team for the first year, at each tier.
Starter (3 seats, annual promo): $7/mo per seat times 3 seats = $21/mo, or $252/year. No onboarding fee. Add maybe $50/mo in credit overages if you turn on Breeze tools. First-year total: roughly $850. Realistic.
Professional (3 Core Seats included, annual): $800/mo for 12 months = $9,600. Plus $3,000 one-time Professional Onboarding. Plus maybe $200/mo in credit overages if Breeze Customer Agent resolves 40-60 conversations beyond the bundled 3,000 credits. First-year total: roughly $15,000. Add a 4th seat and it goes to $15,540.
Enterprise (5 Core Seats included, annual only): $3,600/mo for 12 months = $43,200. Plus $7,000 one-time Enterprise Onboarding. Plus expect $500-$1,000/mo in credit overages once journey automation and AI features are in production use. First-year total: roughly $56,000 for 5 seats. Add 3 Front Office Seats (sales workspace) and the number creeps toward $60,000.
The Starter to Professional gap is the hard call. There is no $200/mo middle tier. If you outgrow Starter, you commit to a roughly 15x jump.
Recommendation
Which plan should you choose?
CRM, basic email (2,000/month), forms, and landing pages handle the first 1,000 contacts with no spend. Plan to migrate or upgrade before the contact limit bites.
At $7/seat annual (promo, $21/mo for 3 seats), the math beats most standalone email + CRM stacks. Watch the promo expiration; the regular $9/seat annual rate is also fair.
$800/mo annual plus $3,000 onboarding earns its keep when marketing-to-sales handoffs and attribution reporting are core to revenue. Build a credit-overage estimate before turning on Breeze.
Paying $800/mo for HubSpot just to send email is overbuilt. Standalone email platforms cover the same use case for $50-$200/mo with similar deliverability and better automation depth.
Multi-touch attribution, custom objects, advanced permissions, and journey automation all live here. Budget for $50,000+/year all-in once seats, credits, and onboarding stack up.
GHL handles white-labeling, sub-accounts, and the SMS-heavy local-business playbook at a fraction of HubSpot Enterprise pricing.
Editorial
My take on HubSpot pricing

HubSpot's pricing page is honest about the numbers but quiet about the math. The $7/seat Starter looks generous until you read the fine print: that's the promotional annual rate from a $20 monthly list, and it reverts when the promo ends. Professional at $800/mo annual sounds reasonable for what's included, but the required $3,000 onboarding fee plus the per-seat structure ($45/mo per additional Core Seat) compounds fast.
Where HubSpot's pricing earns its number is the unified CRM. If your team is currently paying for ActiveCampaign plus Pipedrive plus Intercom plus a Zapier Pro account, HubSpot Professional consolidates that stack and the marketing-to-sales handoff actually works. If you only need email marketing or only need a CRM, you are paying for software you will not touch.
The credit system for AI is the new wildcard. Breeze Customer Agent at 50 credits per resolved conversation can chew through a 3,000-credit Professional allowance in a couple of busy weeks if you wire it into your support inbox. At $9 per 1,000 credits over the allowance, this can add $300-$1,000/mo to a Professional bill in heavy-usage scenarios. Build a usage estimate before you turn it on.

Verdict
Is HubSpot Marketing Hub Worth the Price?
If you actually use the unified CRM across marketing, sales, and service, Professional and Enterprise pay for themselves on integration savings alone (no Zapier middleware, no data sync jobs, no Salesforce-style consultancy). If you only need email marketing, you are massively overpaying.
The Starter tier is reasonable at $7/seat under the current promo but reverts to $20/seat after; consider whether you will still be a HubSpot customer when that promo ends. The credit-metered AI features are fair pricing for what they do, but they break monthly-budget predictability. Enterprise plus 10 seats plus moderate AI usage runs $6,000+/mo in actual practice.
