Distribb alternatives that leave less link building to you

By Joonas Rotko, ex-agency co-owner, 10+ years spending real marketing budgets

Prices verified · How I choose, and how I earn from this page

If Distribb Pro's outreach drafts keep waiting in your dashboard for you to send, I'd start with BabyLoveGrowth. Grow places backlinks from its partner network without any pitching on your side, tracks 10 AI prompts and covers 30 articles a month for $49/month billed annually. On Distribb, someone else sends the pitches only on Accelerator, which costs $399/month billed annually. Prices checked 2 Oct 2026.

Every price here is for one site and about eight articles a month, except SEObot's entry plan:

  • 1 site
  • about 8 articles a month

Who this is for. Small business owners paying for Distribb Pro who signed up for hands-off SEO and found a weekly chore instead: Pro researches roundup articles and writes the pitch emails, but sending them and chasing replies is your job unless you move to Accelerator. Its backlink exchange runs on its own once switched on, but the pricing page gives no number for the links Pro includes.

What changes when you move off Distribb

Distribb Pro is a lot of plan for the money: 30 articles a month, an editor for every draft and link outreach. The catch is how that outreach works. Pro lists it as "High-DR Backlinks; Link Outreach (research + drafted pitches)", so the emails are written for you and sent by you. The done-for-you version, "Done-For-You Link Outreach Campaigns; Priority Backlink Placements & Support", belongs to Accelerator.

What you gain

  • Links that need no inbox work at all. Distribb's own exchange is a toggle too, but its roundup outreach isn't; BabyLoveGrowth places links from a partner network, and SoRank, BlogSEO and RankYak rely on exchanges alone.
  • A figure to hold the vendor to: BlogSEO Ambition says "Up to 15 backlinks" and BabyLoveGrowth Grow states a dollar value, where Distribb Pro names neither.
  • Refund terms in writing. SoRank gives 90 days and SEObot refunds after the first article, while Distribb's pricing page states none.

What you give up

  • Pitches aimed at real roundup articles. Exchanges and partner networks place links on member sites, which is a different kind of link from a mention on a list your buyers read.
  • Distribb's language range: Pro writes in 150+ languages, more than any pick here lists.
  • An editor between the draft and your site on every article. BlogSEO, SoRank and RankYak offer review steps too, but BabyLoveGrowth's approval flow isn't documented.

When to stay. Keep Distribb if you have an hour a week to send the drafted pitches, because a link from a real roundup is worth more than an exchange link, and Pro gives you both. Leave when the drafts pile up unsent and you are paying for outreach that never goes out.

The tools side by side

Each row is the plan I priced for one site, with how it handles backlinks and article approval. SEObot's row is its entry plan.

SEObot: I priced Entry plan. SEObot shows a starting price without an article count, so this is its entry plan.

Six picks, in the order I'd consider them

Each one says who it is for, what it costs for one site and about eight articles a month, and what you give up.

BabyLoveGrowth

Links placed for you, no pitches

Desk research

Choose it if

Distribb's drafted pitches are the part of your plan that never gets done.

Consider BlogSEO instead if

You want a stated number of backlinks rather than a dollar value.

Why it fits one site and about eight articles a month

Grow describes its links as "$800+/mo in backlinks from 4,000+ partner sites", placed by BabyLoveGrowth, so the outreach step Distribb Pro hands back to you disappears. The article count matches Distribb Pro at 30 a month, and 10 prompts are checked in ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. On yearly billing it costs less than Distribb Pro.

The plan I priced

Grow: $49/month billed annually, or $99/month billed monthly.

Closest alternative

Sorank becomes the better choice when you want drafts saved in your CMS for approval and more tracked prompts.

One site and about eight articles a month: Grow

Billed annually

$49/mo

Billed monthly

$99/mo

Above 30 articles a month: Scale (+$150/mo billed annually).

The trade-off

Partner-network links are not the roundup mentions Distribb's pitches go after. Monthly billing is about double the yearly rate, the refund is tied to your visibility not improving, and how drafts get approved isn't documented.
What my review says

Best for: A Distribb Pro user who wants backlinks to happen without writing or sending outreach.

Skip it if getting named in real roundup articles is the whole point of your link building.

Strengths

  • Links come from the vendor's network, with no emails for you to send.
  • Same article volume as Distribb Pro for less on yearly billing.

Limits

  • Network links, not mentions in published roundups.
  • The good price needs a yearly commitment.

A stated backlink ceiling

Desk research

Choose it if

Distribb's unnumbered "backlinks" line is what bothers you, and you want a figure to check against.

Consider BabyLoveGrowth instead if

You want AI prompt tracking included instead of sold as an add-on.

Why it fits one site and about eight articles a month

Ambition lists "Up to 15 backlinks" under what you get each month, placed through an opt-in network that drops links into members' daily articles. You turn it on once and never write a pitch. The article count equals Distribb Pro's 30, every draft can be edited before or after it goes live, and it publishes to more CMSs than Distribb names.

The plan I priced

Ambition: $74.08/month billed annually, paid as $889/year up front, or $97/month billed monthly.

Closest alternative

RankYak becomes the better choice when you want API and MCP access next to the exchange.

One site and about eight articles a month: Ambition

Billed annually

$74.08/mo

Billed monthly

$97/mo

Above 30 articles a month: no bigger plan is published.

The trade-off

You can't choose which sites link to you, the trial needs a card, AI visibility tracking is an extra $89/month billed monthly, and refunds close fast: a full one only within 48 hours.
What my review says

Best for: A Distribb user who wants a backlink count printed on the plan and no outreach.

Skip it if you need to approve every site that links to you.

Strengths

  • A monthly backlink ceiling stated on the pricing page.
  • Opt-in exchange, so links need one setting, not a weekly task.

Limits

  • No say over which member sites link to you.
  • AI tracking costs extra, and the refund window is short.

Desk research

Choose it if

You want link building off your plate and a way out if the results don't come.

Consider RankYak instead if

You want a post every day rather than SoRank's smaller monthly count.

Why it fits one site and about eight articles a month

Essential pairs "Backlink exchanges with quality sites in your niche" with 25 tracked AI prompts and human help with setup, so links and measurement both run without your involvement. Articles can wait as drafts in your CMS or publish on a schedule, and the 90-day guarantee is something Distribb's pricing page doesn't offer.

The plan I priced

Essential: $49/month billed annually, or $99/month billed monthly.

Closest alternative

BabyLoveGrowth becomes the better choice when you want Distribb's article volume back with links included.

Above 20 articles a month: Pro (+$80/mo billed annually).

The trade-off

Fewer articles than Distribb Pro, at 20 a month. The links are swaps between members rather than earned mentions, and every extra website needs its own subscription.
What my review says

Best for: A Distribb user who wants hands-off links, AI tracking and a guarantee in one plan.

Skip it if you need a full month of daily articles.

Strengths

  • Exchanges run on their own once you join.
  • A written money-back window, which Distribb doesn't state.

Limits

  • Fewer articles a month than Distribb Pro.
  • Swap links, not outreach links.

Why it fits one site and about eight articles a month

Pro writes 30 articles a month, the same as Distribb Pro, and describes its links as "Backlink exchange with vetted, relevant sites, no outreach". You choose auto-publishing or drafts that wait for approval, close to Distribb's editor step, and API and MCP access come with the plan.

The plan I priced

Pro: $82.50/month billed annually, or $99/month billed monthly, with a 3-day trial.

What my review says

Best for: A Distribb user who wants the same article volume and links without any pitching.

Skip it if you want to know what happens if it doesn't work out.

Why it fits one site and about eight articles a month

If Distribb's outreach has stopped getting done, ContentPen removes that job entirely. Starter covers 12 articles a month, comfortably above two a week, with 25 tracked prompts and 5 competitors, and publishes straight to your CMS.

The plan I priced

Starter: $39/month billed annually, or $49/month billed monthly.

Closest alternative

SEObot becomes the better choice when you want articles to keep publishing on their own with no tracking.

What my review says

Best for: A Distribb user ready to drop link building and track AI mentions instead.

Skip it if you still want links coming in every month.

Strengths

  • The lowest yearly price among the picks that state an article count.
  • AI prompt and competitor tracking from the first plan.

Limits

  • No backlinks.
  • No autopilot on Starter, so you publish each article yourself.

You have decided links aren't worth the effort right now and only want content.

You want a stated article count and AI tracking.

Why it fits one site and about eight articles a month

SEObot plans the topics and publishes long articles with images, tables and video embeds every week, so there is nothing to send or chase. If the first article disappoints, SEObot refunds the entry plan on request, which makes it a cheaper test than committing to Distribb Pro.

The plan I priced

Entry plan: $49/month billed monthly. SEObot shows a starting price, not a plan table with an article count.

What one site and about eight articles a month really costs

Five picks state an article count, so their bars compare directly. SEObot has no bar because its price isn't tied to a count.

SEObot: priced on Entry plan. SEObot shows a starting price without an article count, so this is its entry plan.

  • RankYak: above 30 articles a month, no bigger plan is published
  • ContentPen: above 12 articles a month, Growth (+$40/mo)
How I calculated this

Workload: 1 site, about 8 articles a month.

A plan is priced on articles only where the vendor states a monthly count. SEObot shows a starting price instead, so its card names the entry plan and what it buys.

Other options, and why they missed the list

I limited this page to autopilots for one website that either handle backlinks without outreach from you or drop link building and cost less. Link-building agencies and outreach tools are a different purchase from "what replaces Distribb Pro".

    • Arvow logo

      Arvow

Its automatic backlinks only start on the Business plan, and it bills in credits rather than articles, so a small site pays more to get links handled.

    • Soro logo

      Soro

A daily post at a low starting price, but its pricing page lists no backlinks, so it removes the outreach by removing links altogether, with less to show than ContentPen.

How I chose, and how I earn from this page

    Joonas Rotko

    Who is behind this guide

    Joonas Rotko

I co-ran a marketing agency in Finland and spent more than ten years buying SEO and marketing software with real client budgets. I write these guides for the person who has to pay for the tool and use it.

More about me and how I review

    Affiliate disclosure

Some of these links are affiliate links, and I earn a commission if you buy through them, at no cost to you. That never moves a price or a verdict. Distribb and all six picks have affiliate programs, so commission can't decide the order here: how much link work each one leaves to you does. BlogSEO is also a paid partner of this site and ranks here on fit alone.

    How this guide was prepared

    What I did

    • Every price is for one website publishing about eight articles a month, the workload in my AI SEO autopilot guide, taken from each vendor's pricing page on the date beside its source link.
    • Because people leave Distribb over the outreach left to them, picks that bring links without any emails from you rank first, and picks that drop links entirely come after.
    • Where a vendor states an article count, I priced its cheapest plan that covers the workload. SEObot doesn't, so its entry plan is shown and kept out of the cost chart.
    • These tools are desk research: I read their published plans, help pages and terms rather than running them on a site of my own.

    What to keep in mind

    • Link quality from exchanges and partner networks isn't measured here, only how each vendor says the links are built.
    • Prices and promotions change often in this category, so confirm on the vendor's page before you pay.
    Sources and verification dates

Prices and limits checked on 9 vendor pages. Oldest check: 2 Oct 2026.

    • : Rebuilt for Distribb Pro users who want link building off their own to-do list, with every pick compared on how its backlinks arrive.
    • : RankYak moved above ContentPen, since its links fit this page's reason better, and the copy now reflects Distribb's own backlink exchange.

    Questions people ask

What is the best Distribb alternative?

BabyLoveGrowth, if the drafted outreach is why you're leaving. Grow places backlinks from a partner network, tracks 10 AI prompts and covers 30 articles a month for $49/month billed annually. Pick BlogSEO if you want a backlink number on the plan.

Is there a cheaper alternative to Distribb?

Yes. ContentPen Starter is $39/month billed annually, and BabyLoveGrowth Grow and SoRank Essential cost $49/mo each on yearly billing. Distribb Pro is $79/month billed annually. ContentPen drops backlinks, while the other two keep them.

Does Distribb send the outreach emails for me?

Not on Pro. Pro lists "High-DR Backlinks; Link Outreach (research + drafted pitches)", so Distribb finds the articles and writes the pitches, and you send them. Sending and follow-ups are part of Accelerator, which is $399/month billed annually.

How many backlinks does Distribb include?

Distribb's pricing page doesn't give a number for either plan. Among the picks here, BlogSEO Ambition states "Up to 15 backlinks", and BabyLoveGrowth Grow states a dollar value for its links instead of a count.

Does Distribb have a free trial?

Yes, Pro starts with a 7-day free trial. Its pricing page doesn't state refund terms, while SoRank offers a 90-day money-back guarantee and SEObot refunds after the first article.
