Discovery covers 10 documents a month for one user, where a document is one article created or optimized. That is room for a few articles with space left for rewrites. Surfer also documents how its Content Score is built: language analysis and a comparison with competing pages, across a long list of web and AI signals.

I priced Discovery: $59/month billed monthly, or $49/month billed annually. On annual billing the allowance is 120 documents a year as one pool, not a monthly count.

Surfer, Frase and Writesonic are priced on a plan whose stated allowance covers four articles a month, so their bars are comparable. NeuronWriter and Jasper are entry plans with no article allowance to match, so they get no bar. The bar is the annual-billing price per month.

Other options, and why they missed the list

This list stays short because each tool had to score, brief or draft content, state its plan limits and suit one small site. Surfer, Frase and NeuronWriter are editors that check a draft. Jasper and Writesonic are writing tools, so I label them that way. Tools that research and publish for you sit in the autopilot guide.
