I assess SEO and GEO software through 10+ years of agency work, current product research, buyer needs, competing tools and total cost.
How this review was prepared
This review uses BlogSEO's current public product, pricing and help material, then evaluates the workflow for solopreneurs, small marketing teams and client-service businesses. Vendor claims are treated as claims until a real site, topic and approval process prove them.
This page may include affiliate links, meaning I may earn a commission if you sign up (at no extra cost to you).

The Verdict
Is BlogSEO right for you?
BlogSEO is easy to budget, but the output still needs an editor with a sharp red pen.
The current public offer bundles 30 articles, automated publishing, internal linking, images and a backlink allowance for $97 monthly. That is attractive when consistency is the bottleneck. The harder question is whether 30 pieces strengthen the site or simply create 30 new review tasks.
The old free and $39 pricing ladder is no longer the public offer. The live offer is a three-day trial followed by $97 monthly. A $59, 15-article downsell appears in vendor comparison material but is not a standard public plan, so I would not build a budget around it without written confirmation.
Who It's For
Who BlogSEO is for (and who it isn't)
✓ Best for
- +Solo operators with an empty content calendar. A fixed 30-article cadence removes planning and scheduling friction.
- +Small teams with one accountable editor. Automation handles production while one person protects factual quality and brand voice.
- +Simple CMS-led sites. The value is clearest when publishing and internal linking are the recurring jobs.
× Consider something else if
- −You need a volume that isn't a fixed 30 articles a month. SEObot's tiers scale from 9 to 300-plus articles, instead of BlogSEO's one fixed plan.Try SEObot →
- −Backlinks are central to the purchase. BabyLoveGrowth publishes clearer backlink and GEO capacity in its core plan.Try BabyLoveGrowth →
- −You want briefs and manual editorial control. Frase gives writers and editors a more deliberate research workflow.Try Frase →
What You Can Do
What can BlogSEO do?
Approve the first content calendar
Remove topics without business value, combine overlapping intent and map internal links to product or service pages before the schedule starts.
Review drafts and teach the system
Check sources, dates, claims, examples, voice and the next action. Feed accepted edits, rejected claims and topic feedback into the instructions or examples instead of silently fixing the finished article. Only reduce review frequency after the system repeatedly meets a written standard.
Audit the cluster after 30 days
Check indexation, internal-link direction, impressions and conversion paths. Pause weak clusters instead of treating the article allowance as a quota that must be filled.
AI, API & MCP
How BlogSEO fits an AI-agent workflow
BlogSEO's MCP server gives an agent direct read and write access to a site's content calendar, keyword research, Search Console data, and CMS publishing through one connection.
AI agent workflow
Calendar gap to published rewrite
An agent reads the content calendar, finds an open slot, and pulls a keyword with rising Search Console impressions but falling click-through rate. It rewrites that article's title and meta description with the rewrite tool, then publishes the change directly to the connected CMS, whether that's WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Framer, or Contentful.
Approval boundary: A human should approve before the agent calls the rewrite or publish tool, since BlogSEO executes those actions immediately with no confirmation step built in.
MCP
officialOfficial remote MCP bundled into every plan
BlogSEO runs a hosted MCP server at mcp.blogseo.io/mcp, authenticated with OAuth 2.1 sign-in that covers every site where the user has admin or owner access. It's included in every plan, including free, and exposes around 60 tools spanning articles, the content calendar, keyword research, Search Console rankings, on-page scoring, backlinks, and multi-CMS publishing. Reading data is free, while keyword research, competitor benchmarks, and AI rewrites draw from the account's credit balance.
BlogSEO SEO MCP Server page →API
unverifiedNo separate REST API confirmed beyond MCP
BlogSEO doesn't publish a standalone REST API reference distinct from its MCP tool set. A generic docs link exists on the site, but no dedicated API documentation, auth method, or rate limits could be confirmed. For now, MCP is BlogSEO's primary integration surface for programmatic access.
Pricing
How much does BlogSEO cost?
BlogSEO starts at $97/mo. No free plan, but there’s a 3-day free trial.
| Plan | Monthly |
|---|---|
| AmbitionPopular | $97/mo |
| Enterprise | Custom |
The current public offer is one plan, the Ambition Plan: a three-day free trial followed by $97 per month for 30 articles. It includes automated publishing, internal linking, image generation and up to 15 backlinks. There is no permanent free tier. The vendor also references a sales-assisted $59 plan for 15 articles, but that option is not presented as the normal public checkout tier.
One plan: $97 monthly
Budget around the price shown on the live homepage, not the older Free, Basic, Advanced and Max ladder (that ladder belonged to a research draft that mixed up BlogSEO with a similarly-named product, blogseo.ai, and was corrected).
AI Brain: 15 credits monthly
Research, editing and image tasks share this allowance, and credits can be converted into backlink credits.
Price the editor
Even one hour of review per batch materially changes the real cost. Include that time before comparing the subscription with a writer or agency.
Enterprise: contact sales
For agencies, whitelabel partners and multi-site owners who need custom article volume and multiple user accounts beyond the single Ambition Plan. No public price, get a quote before assuming it fits a client-scale budget.
Alternatives
When I'd choose something else
Three different buying priorities, and what I'd pick instead for each one.
Same job, flexible volume
SEObot
Choose SEObot when you want fewer or more than BlogSEO's fixed 30 articles a month, tiers run from 9 up to 300-plus.
Trade-off: No public MCP server, and no free trial, refund-based instead.

BabyLoveGrowth
Choose BabyLoveGrowth when published backlink and prompt-tracking capacity matters.
Trade-off: It starts at $99 and still requires editorial supervision.
Explore BabyLoveGrowth for this use case →Writer-led workflow
Frase
Choose Frase for briefs, research, optimisation and controlled handoffs.
Trade-off: It does not remove as much production work.

Limitations to consider before subscribing
The old pricing ladder is stale
The live public offer is now $97 monthly after a three-day trial.
Thirty articles create review work
Volume is useful only when the topics and claims deserve publication.
Credits serve several jobs
AI Brain and backlink choices compete for a limited allowance.
Backlink quality needs inspection
Count, relevance and placement matter more than the advertised maximum.
My Recommendation
My recommendation for BlogSEO
Shortlist BlogSEO when one editor can govern a predictable 30-article monthly engine and the CMS workflow is the main bottleneck.
Choose SE Ranking when measurement matters, BabyLoveGrowth for a broader authority bundle, or Frase when human-led briefs are the priority.
What to check during the trial
- –Generate one article for a real buying-intent query.
- –Check every fact, source, internal link and product claim.
- –Test draft approval, publishing and rollback on a non-critical page.
- –Compare the full site and article cost with a human-assisted workflow.
Use BlogSEO with Claude, ChatGPT or a coding assistant
Connect Claude, Cursor or another compatible client to BlogSEO's MCP server (streamable HTTP, OAuth 2.1 with PKCE) and start with a read-only task like pulling keyword or ranking data. Write and publish actions cost about one credit each and post straight to the connected CMS, so keep those behind an explicit approval step until the output is proven.
FAQ
