Tidio Pricing: Free Plan, Two Meters and the Lyro AI Cost

Tidio keeps pricing public and starts with a real free plan, then climbs through Starter, Growth, Plus and a custom Premium tier. The catch is that two separate meters drive your bill: billable conversations and Lyro AI conversations.

Beyond the base plan

There's more to the pricing

Tidio's base plan list above is the starting point. Most agencies stack on add-ons or use separate products from the same vendor.

What an agency stack actually costs

Here is how it actually scales. Free is $0 for 50 billable conversations, up to 10 seats, the widget, REST API and 50 lifetime Lyro conversations. Starter is $24.17/month (billed annually, two months free) for 100 billable conversations plus 50 one-off Lyro conversations. Growth starts at $49.17/month for up to 2,000 billable conversations and adds advanced analytics, auto-assignment and macros. Plus jumps to $749/month for custom volume, departments, multiproject, custom branding, webhooks and a dedicated success manager. Premium is custom, starting at 3,000+ Lyro conversations with a managed service and a guaranteed 50% resolution rate.

Two add-ons sit on top of the base tier. The Lyro AI Agent starts at $32.50/month (from 50 monthly conversations, scaling to 1,000), and Flows starts at $24.17/month (from 2,000 visitors reached). So the real number is base tier (set by conversation volume) plus Lyro (set by AI volume) plus Flows if you use the visual automation builder. Price it on your conversation count and how hard you will run Lyro, not the entry price.

One structural thing to flag: webhooks are gated to the $749 Plus tier. The REST API is on every plan, including Free, so reads and writes are cheap, but real-time outbound events (pushing data to your own systems the moment something happens) are a high-tier feature. If event-driven integration matters to you, the floor is steep.

Recommendation

Which plan should you choose?

+
FreeSmall site testing live chat + AI

50 billable conversations, the widget, REST API and a one-time pool of 50 Lyro conversations is enough to try both before paying.

+
GrowthGrowing SMB or ecommerce store

Up to 2,000 billable conversations plus analytics, auto-assignment and macros at $49.17/month covers most support teams.

+
PlusTeam that needs real-time webhooks

Webhooks, departments, multiproject and a success manager unlock here, but the $749/month floor is steep.

+
Premium (or Lyro add-on)Heavy AI-resolution operation

Premium starts at 3,000+ Lyro conversations with a guaranteed 50% resolution rate; lighter users add Lyro from $32.50/month.

Editorial

My take on Tidio pricing

Joonas Rotko
Joonas RotkoAuthor & founder of That Marketing Buddy

Tidio's pricing is honest and public, which already puts it ahead of half this category, but you have to read it on two axes, not one. Billable conversations set your base tier (Free at 50, Starter at 100, Growth up to 2,000), and Lyro AI conversations are metered separately on top. The free plan is a genuine sandbox: 50 conversations, up to 10 seats, the JavaScript widget, REST API access and a one-time pool of 50 Lyro conversations.

The part people underprice is Lyro. The cheap plans include only a one-time 50-conversation pool, and after that the AI add-on starts at $32.50/month and scales with volume. If the AI agent is the reason you want Tidio, budget for the add-on (or the Premium tier, which starts at 3,000+ Lyro conversations with a guaranteed 50% resolution rate), not just the base plan.

Verdict

Public and fair to start, but price it on two meters plus the Lyro add-on

Tidio is one of the more honest pricers in customer service software: a real free plan, public tiers and annual billing that gives two months free. Just read it on two axes. Billable conversations set your base tier (Free, Starter $24.17/mo, Growth from $49.17/mo, Plus from $749/mo, Premium custom), and Lyro AI conversations are metered separately, with the add-on from $32.50/month.

The cheap plans include only a one-time 50-conversation Lyro pool, and webhooks are locked to the $749 Plus tier. Price it on your conversation volume and how much you will lean on the AI, not the headline number.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. The Free plan is $0 and includes 50 billable conversations, up to 10 seats, the JavaScript widget, REST API access and a one-time pool of 50 Lyro AI conversations. Paid plans start at Starter $24.17/month (billed annually, two months free).

Public tiers in USD: Free , Starter $24.17/mo , Growth from $49.17/mo (up to 2,000 conversations), Plus from $749/mo and a custom Premium plan. Annual billing gives two months free. Cost runs on two meters: billable conversations and Lyro AI conversations.

Lyro is metered separately from your base plan. The add-on starts at $32.50/month (from 50 monthly conversations, scaling to 1,000). The cheap plans include only a one-time pool of 50 Lyro conversations, and the Premium tier starts at 3,000+ Lyro conversations with a guaranteed 50% resolution rate.

There is a 7-day free trial with no credit card required , after which the account auto-downgrades to the Free plan unless you upgrade. Tidio does not publish a money-back guarantee, so the trial is the way to test before paying.

Webhooks are gated to the $749 Plus tier . The REST API is on every plan, including Free , so reads and writes are broadly available, but real-time outbound events (pushing data to your own systems) are a higher-tier feature.
