Which AI clients can use Zernio MCP?
Not every AI assistant supports MCP natively. Per-client picture for Zernio:
| Client | Support | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Claude (Desktop/Web) | Native MCP | Connect to the hosted MCP server at mcp.zernio.com/mcp; no custom integration needed. |
| Claude Code | Native MCP | Add the hosted MCP server; full publishing, analytics and inbox tools available to the agent. |
| Cursor | Native MCP | Native MCP support; add the Zernio server URL. |
| ChatGPT | Native MCP | Works as an MCP client against the hosted Zernio server. |
| n8n | API-only (custom code) | No native node; integrate via the REST API at /api/v1 with a Bearer token. |
How to connect Zernio MCP to Claude Desktop
Add this block to ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json (macOS) or %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json (Windows), then restart Claude Desktop. Cursor and Codex use a similar schema.

Does Zernio MCP cost extra?
Zernio ships an official MCP server that uses your existing subscription credentials.
- No separate MCP licence to buy. You pay for your Zernio plan, the MCP server queries that account.
- Whether it's gated to a specific tier wasn't extracted automatically — verify the access requirements on the MCP page or pricing docs.
Zernio also publishes a REST API
Zernio publishes an API, but per-tier gating wasn't extracted automatically.

Three shapes of agent workflow. Pick the row that matches how you actually use Claude / Cursor / Codex day to day.
Skip the dashboard, ask Claude
- "What changed this week?" answered in seconds
- Quick one-off questions without leaving the editor
- Pipe Zernio data into your personal notes / docs without writing a script
Run client analysis at agent speed
- Hand the MCP server to your team — every consultant can ask Claude about any client's Zernio account
- Multi-account workflows without context-switching the Zernio UI
- Reports you'd normally spend hours on, done before standup
Production agent workflows
- Embed in your internal Codex / Cursor agents that triage Zernio data daily
- Combine with other MCP servers in a multi-step agent chain
- Constrain agents to read-only roles to keep production Zernio safe
Limits and gotchas
- Official MCP server — published by Zernio themselves, so it should track product changes.
- Fallback: the REST API works for any flow the MCP server doesn't cover.
- Rate limits: MCP calls count against your underlying Zernio API quota. Burst usage from a curious agent can drain a daily allowance fast.
Agent-readiness verdict
A genuinely agent-native social tool: a first-party hosted MCP server that mirrors the full publishing, ads, analytics and inbox API, so Claude or Cursor can run your social presence end to end. The only reason it is not a perfect score is that the MCP docs are lighter than the REST reference. A strong 9 out of 10, and the clearest agent-readiness story in the social-automation category.
Moderate agent fit with a working foundation. Zernio has an official MCP server and documented public API, which covers the basics for Claude/Cursor integration. The lack of OpenAPI specs, SDKs, and structured outputs makes deeper automation workflows harder to build and maintain.
