What is the Sorank MCP server?

Sorank runs a free MCP (Model Context Protocol) server at https://kcgtdxrygpvazuecnggt.supabase.co/functions/v1/mcp, and it is one of the cleaner implementations I have looked at. Authentication is OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration: you sign in with your Google account to grant read-only Search Console access, and there is nothing else to configure, no API key, client id or token.

It exposes nine tools. One, geo_score, rates how citable a URL is for AI engines on a 0 to 100 scale based on structured data, Q&A blocks, stats and freshness. The other eight are Search Console tools: gsc_list_sites, gsc_sitemaps, gsc_inspect_url, gsc_performance, gsc_opportunities (quick-win keywords in positions 4 to 20), gsc_history (data beyond Google's 16-month limit) and gsc_movers (biggest ranking changes). It works with Claude (Desktop and Web), Cursor, Windsurf and VS Code (GitHub Copilot) over the same HTTP server URL.

The honest scoping point: this MCP is a read-only Search Console and GEO-scoring tool, and it is free to anyone, not a way to drive Sorank's paid autopilot (content generation, backlinks). So it is excellent at what it does, but its scope is data and scoring, not platform control.
